UiPath was founded in 2005 by a Romanian businessman Daniel Dines. In 2017, the company issued 590 employees and moved to the New York headquarters to approach its international client base, which has increased 700 customers out of 100 in 2016.

In April 2018, Wikibon tried to test the Robotic Process Automation platforms saying: "We contacted three RPA vendors: vehicles everywhere, transparent glass and UiPath: to test and approve any of the proposals. Only one vendor, UIPath responded. "

In June 2018, Forrester placed UiPath at the top of Forrester's second year of Robotic Process Automation. UiPath ranked first in the market, strategy and the presence of the market. "

On June 30, 2018, UiPath approved $ 100 million in annual revenue conversion, increasing by 240% in six months.
